Matt Bell is a 36-year-old Toledo native who graduated from St. Francis de Sales in 2005 and earned an academic/athletic scholarship to the University of Toledo, where he played baseball. After an injury, he became addicted to painkillers prescribed to him, and one thing led to another, ending in a 9-year bout with heroin. Jails, arrests, and overdoses became his reality, although they were never anything he foresaw or dreamt of doing.‌

Today, as a certified Intervention Professional, he uses his past to help individuals and families who are still suffering from the disease of addiction and to carry an important message to our youth. Matt is also the founder of Team Recovery, a Medicaid adult inpatient and outpatient facility in Toledo Ohio. He is an author, a father, a husband, and a person in recovery since 10/15/2015.

Matt’s interventions styles are: the Johnson Model and the Love First Mode

Types of Interventions: SUD with co-occurring and dual diagnosis
